Ok, I admit it. I’m halfway through the third Sookie Stackhouse novel and I’m enjoying it. Southern Vampire series, True Blood, whatever you want to call it.

My wife wanted to see the series on HBO and I tried to avoid it but was unable to. Before I knew it I was watching the show with her each Sunday. I knew the show was different from the books but I didn’t realize how different until I started reading the books. I plan to take a break after Club Dead so I can read a new book I downloaded today.

If you’re enjoying the show do yourself a favor and pick up the books. Imagine Dean Koontz and Stephen King being given the same characters and general direction for a story and then allowed to put their own spin on it.
