Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everybody!

I was ony my way to the pet store today and drove past the local creationism park. For a good while the sign in front said “Park closed for the season.” It later changed to “Park Closed.” Now it tells us why the dinosaurs really went extinct, the ark was closed.

Where was Chief Brody when Noah needed him? “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.“
Last night the USS Continuum held it’s anniversary dinner at Ryan’s buffet in Pace, FL. It was a fun gathering of friends and we were joined by members of the USS Jubilee.
My wife and I were both promoted from 2nd lieutenant to 1st lieutenant. I was presented with the Scholastic Achievement award for the most STARFLEET courses completed in the past year and my wife received Honorable Mention for Scholastic Achievement. How did I beat her for the award? I completed three more courses than she did.
There was a Dirty Santa gift exchange as well. I took home a plush Darth Vader and my wife got a queen sized blue blanket.
The best part of the evening was this: The ship donated 12 toys to the Toys For Tots program!
11 toys were donated at the dinner and my wife and I dropped them off at the Toys For Tots bin at Toys R Us. When my wife and I were walking out of the store we realized that of the 11 toys not a one of them was a Star Trek toy! We couldn’t let that happen so we went to the action figure area and found a Captain Kirk toy to buy and donate. This brought the total donation count up to 12 and included a Star Trek toy. Woohoooo!
It’s day 27. No new movement to report. The pain is still jumping from my shoulder to my head. It’s really, really getting on my nerves.
More from the days when music video channels actually played music videos instead of everything else.
80’s rock, rocked!
I loved this song and video then. I love it now. If you’re still wondering where Waldo is, wonder no more.
A friend from work was supposed to have spinal surgery on the 8th of December but that has been canceled. At least I assume it has given what happened. On Tuesday her husband was in a motorcycle wreck on his way home from work.
He has a contusion on the top of his brain, he doesn’t seem to recognize his wife but did say she was pretty, he mixes in numbers with his words and can’t seem to move his right arm and leg. The doctors don’t think his arm and leg aren’t moving because of the brain damage.
To top it off, they have a teenage daughter. As if being a female teen wasn’t challenging enough.
I was hoping I could write about a day of great recovery but that is not the case. The pain has spread back down my neck and shoulder and I have no new movement to report. I’m pretty much exhausted at the moment as well. So goes life.
